Puerto Banús® receives some of the largest vessels in the world

There are still summer days ahead of us, and that is synonymous with many hours of sun, sea and enjoyment. Yet again this year, Puerto Banús is a mandatory visit for some of the most important and spectacular superyachts in the world. The superyachts Solandge, Jaan, Illusion and Mia Rama have chosen this iconic marina to close the summer season and so enjoy its endless luxury leisure options and the spectacular climate of Marbella. In Banús, they find the icing on the cake to round off an exciting season now drawing to a close.

At this time, the berths at Puerto Banús are almost 100%-occupied, hosting all kinds of boats. But what monopolises the attention of sailing enthusiasts and tourists in general is the great ships and superyachts. These final days of August, our harbour staff are preparing the berths to receive superyachts, which are authentic works of nautical art. Vessels like Solandge, Azteca, Illusion, Mia Ramma and Jaan ensconce themselves for a few days in our marina to enjoy the wonderful climate of Marbella and its unending luxury leisure options.

Superyachts in numbers

When we speak of this kind of yacht, the numbers make your head spin. Devised for luxury, some of them are more than 80 metres long and one week’s rental could cost 80,000 euros., These extraordinary craft have designer interiors and exclusive installations such as gymnasium, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, sports equipment for water-skiing, wakeboarding, paddle surfing, or even have an onboard heliport. All of them can house from 12 to 16 guests and have a crew of 9 to 11 members.

Puerto Banús, the most exclusive marina in Europe

Sailing enthusiasts can enjoy these authentic marvels of design at the most exceptional marina in the Mediterranean, chosen by the luxury agency Engels & Völkers as Europe’s most exclusive in its annual report “Engels & Völkers Yachting”. The study classifies the ten marinas with the highest mooring costs for vessels over 55 metres long during the high season, and the tariffs for docking in the 915 berths at the facilities of Puerto Banús® are in excess of 4200 euros per day.
